| Video Discription | A couple shots all done with the AF of the 70D, please read the texte at the beginning to get the full details of my settings. I've had this lens for a month now and it still amazes me. Pros : It is amazingly sharp, really good wide open and absolutely perfect when you close down to f/2.8. I could easily use 100% crop images without anyone noticing it ! The AF is perfect for video work, not ultra fast, but it has the right speed to do smooth changes that looks really cinematographic.The zoom and focus rings are super smooth and precise. The build quality is fantastic. Doing video work or photography work with this lens is just so useful, amazing crispy image and contrast, awesome bokeh and shallow depth of field, with the ability to have a 2x zoom and still keep the f/1.8 aperture, what else could you ask for? Cons: Yes you could ask for image stabilization, it's its biggest drawback, you will need something to help stabilize the footage for video work. For photography you won't feel the need for it as it has this super bright f/1.8 aperture. It's a bit heavy (800gr) due to its metal body and amount of glass. It features some strong vignetting wide open( which to me looks really cinematographic except on some situations), and also some distorsions (especially at the ends of the zoom range).
