The valve system is vacuum controlled and does not utilise the OEM valve control (drive select) unless the CANBUS module is installed. I have opted for a remote to switch valves on/off as it is much more convenient and allows me to have total control over when I want the valves open/closed. Valve closed is very civilised, similar in sound but quieter compared to factory exhaust open valve. Not noticeable in cabin and has zero drone.
