Porsche has introduced several variants of its vehicles, with the Cayenne GTS emerging as a strong contender. This model forgoes any electrification, opting instead for a powerful twin-turbo V-8 engine. This engine now delivers 493 horsepower and 487 pound-feet of torque, an increase of 40 horsepower and 30 pound-feet over previous versions.
The 2025 Porsche Cayenne GTS accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in just 4.2 seconds, reaching a top speed of 171 mph. This remarkable speed is achieved through an eight-speed automatic transmission that powers all four wheels, offering quick shifts, especially in Sport or Sport Plus modes. The GTS is available in both the standard SUV shape and the more streamlined Coupe form.
Beyond the engine, the GTS has seen significant enhancements. Porsche has made substantial adjustments to the suspension system. The front axle features pivot bearings from the high-end Turbo GT, which improve steering responses. The air suspension, standard on the GTS, has been adjusted to lower the vehicle by 10 mm compared to other Cayenne models, with active roll stabilization available at an additional cost.
The all-wheel-drive cooling system has also been upgraded with a dedicated water-cooling circuit, a feature borrowed from the Turbo GT. The Cayenne GTS Coupe includes an adaptive rear spoiler and an optional exhaust system with centrally located tips. Porsche offers three optional packages that can reduce the vehicle's weight by up to 55 pounds.
Visually, the GTS stands out with larger front air intakes, red brake calipers, and tinted headlights and taillights. The standard Sport Design Package adds a sleek, dark theme to the wheel arch extensions, window surrounds, and rocker panels, contrasting with previous versions where these elements matched the body color. Additionally, exhaust tips that were once black are now finished in dark bronze.
The exterior is completed with 21-inch RS Spyder Design wheels, while inside, the Cayenne GTS features Race Tex microfiber across the door cards, headliner, steering wheel, and the centers of the eight-way adjustable seats. Porsche also offers interior color themes in Slate Grey or Carmine Red.
For those interested in purchasing, the Cayenne starts at $126,895 and the Cayenne Coupe at $131,495, prices include destination charges. Sales are set to begin soon, with deliveries expected this fall. Given the upgrades and the cost compared to the much pricier Turbo GT, which starts at $197,950, the GTS may offer the best value within the Cayenne lineup.
