| Video Discription | Ben is particularly invested in inspiring medical professionals to utilize their skills and talents in making the world a more just and healthier place. His personal philosophy of "Whatever I can for whoever I can whenever I can... including making as many people laugh and smile" coincides with the notion that “strangers are merely friends we haven’t met yet”. Ben Abo is a long time paramedic turned emergency medicine physician, humanitarian, and educator well known for his enthusiasm, big smile, and big hair. He is currently completing his residency in Miami at Mount Sinai Medical Center on Miami Beach and Ryder Trauma Center in Miami. With over 18 years of international emergency medicine/Emergency Medical Services experience, Ben remains active in research, education, lecturing, and clinical work with federal and state disaster medical assistance teams. Ben has lived in 4 countries, traveled to 35, and in his spare time, he enjoys playing music, volunteering, and officiating and dancing at friends’ weddings.
