| Video Discription | If you are a Contractor and want to close your Limited Company the rules are the same as for any Limited Company. You should de-register for VAT and submit a final VAT Return and close your payroll scheme and issue a P45. If you have money left in your company account there are 2 ways to take it out, you could continue to take dividends each year and leave the company running, costing accountants’ fees to keep it running. Or, make a capital distribution which is treated as a capital gain so you will pay capital gains tax. If you do this, make sure that you don’t start trading again within 2 years or the capital distribution may be reanalysed as dividends. [pED9HueS5Us] |
