| Video Discription | Cost wasn't on Caleb's mind when he first encountered the Aimpoint Duty RDS, but it turns out this red dot sight gives outstanding performance at a very affordable price. It looks like a slightly larger cousin of the popular Aimpoint Micro red dot series, and the Duty RDS's pressure-forged aluminum housing is exceptionally strong yet surprisingly lightweight. The Duty RDS fits the footprint of any mount for the Micro, so finding the perfect mount should not be a problem. It even comes with a MIL-STD 1913 Picatinny mount set up for absolute co-witness with AR-15 factory "iron" sights. One button on the Duty RDS controls the whole schmeer - on, off, and reticle brightness. And you get 10 reticle brightness settings for the super-crisp 2 MOA dot: 6 daylight and 4 for night vision. Unlike older Aimpoint red dots like the Patrol Rifle Optic, you don't have to cycle through all the settings to get to the one you want. The Duty RDS remembers the last brightness setting before you turned it off, so it's extremely fast to get into action. Flush-mounted knobs operated by the included Torx® wrench let you adjust windage and elevation with audible "clicks." The same wrench fits the flush-fit screw that clamps the Duty RDS's mount to the receiver rail. Battery life is 3 years constant-on, and when you finally do have to replace the CR-2032 cell, you can easily do it without removing the Duty RDS from the rifle.
