The hotel occupies a small peninsula that's surrounded by the lake water, making it incredibly serene, peaceful and beautiful. One my latest trip to Rwanda, my wife, son, and my Dad and I, all stayed at Paradis Malahide Hotel for a few nights to relax and enjoy Lake Kivu. We had a bungalow style room, which cost about $90 US per night for a double, self contained. The highlight for me was the actual grounds of the hotel, being about to get incredible views of Lake Kivu while relaxing on an outdoor sofa. The service at Paradis Malahide and the food - particularly breakfast - was also incredible.
