The 2024 Mercedes-Benz EQS 580 is the all-electric version of the Mercedes S-class; a car that has been the benchmark for luxury and technology. The EQS is poised to continue the legacy of the S-class in a new electrified future. The 2024 Mercedes-Benz EQS 580 is powered by two electric motors; one powering the front wheels and the other the rear wheels. The combined output of these motors is 516 hp and 631 lb-ft of torque. Although the EQS is quite a bit heavier than the S-class, it can still accelerate from a stop to 100 km/h in just 4.3 seconds. That’s faster than some sports cars and the EQS has a heavy battery in the floor. Speaking of which, the battery has a storage capacity of almost 108 kWh which allows the EQS 580 an estimated driving range of up to 547 km. It can be recharged from 10% to 100% in just over 11 hours from a level 2, 9.6 kW charger.
