| Video Discription | The society of image Management (SIM) Ms Najma Adam graduated in the field of Occupational Therapy from JPMC in 1998 and later did her masters in Special Education. She stands as a pioneer in the field of Occupational Therapy, spanning over 25 years and contributed significantly to various institutions. Notably, she established Occupational Therapy services at Agha Khan University Hospital within the Physical Therapy Department and was the first OT to work in stroke units and ICU settings. She played a pivotal role in initiating occupational therapy services at Ziauddin University Hospital, where she served as a visiting faculty and consultant at CSLHS. She spearheaded similar efforts at South City Hospital. She received special achievement award for accelerating outpatient rehabilitation at Liaquat National Hospital where she was a coordinator Rehab and Occupational Therapist In-charge. She played a key role in establishing the Occupational Therapy department at Dow University of Health Sciences and took on the role of a lecturer in Occupational Therapy. Her expertise was also shared at institutions like Ma Ayesha Memorial Centre and Star Links School. Her leadership as the former Head at Karachi Down Syndrome Program and her current role as the Head of Occupational Therapy at Pakistan Centre for Autism and South City Hospital, along with her private endeavor named RISE, stand as testament to her unwavering dedication to the field. She is certified as an Autism Spectrum Disorder Clinical Specialist (ASDCS) and also undertook training in the award-winning "Learning Without Tears" program both from USA, further bolstering her skills, particularly in handwriting.
