In this video I am sharing the comparison between car and bus for Kedarnath and Badrinath yatra (as per my experience and online analysis). kedarnath ji video link- https://youtu.be/IuT_RCMmdXU Kedarnath is a divine Hindu temple situated in Rudraprayag district of Uttarakhand. It is one of the Char Dhams located in the Himalayas, and is situated at an astounding height of 3584 meters above sea level near Mandakini River. The Kedarnath temple lies amidst the majestic snow-capped Garhwal Himalayan ranges and is travelled by thousands of tourists and pilgrims each year. Also, the Kedarnath trek is stunningly beautiful, even in the trekking path. How to get there-- Kedarnath is well connected with most of the important towns of Uttarakhand. Prior to reaching Kedarnath, the last motorable point is Gaurikund. From there on out, you will be trekking for 16-odd-km(old record before 2013 flood). Gaurikund is connected with major destinations in North India. Buses and shared cabs are available from Haridwar, Rishikesh & Rudraprayag to Sonprayag, the last point until which private vehicles are allowed. Badrinath, among the four dominant Char Dham pilgrimage sites of India as well as the Chota Char Dham, is a sight to behold! Situated at an average elevation of 10,827 feet above sea level, Badrinath is on the banks of the Alaknanda River. Badrinath is easily connected with road to travel there ,Buses and shared cabs are available from Haridwar to Joshimath to Badrinath. KEDAR+BADRI CAR FARE(PER PERSON) *According to my enquiry and experience. *I am one of the 5 members of a group. *Different car have different price and packages. *Bargaining and negotiation skills are important. My booking experience- Car- Innova price -27000/-(after bargaining) per person cost- 5400/-*5 person Kedar+ Badri Dham full package. Pick up from Haridwar and drop to Haridwar. (Tavera car price around 25000/- , so depends on car varient.) PER PERSON PRICE DIFFERENCE- 5400/-(INNOVA CAR) -3400/-(BUS) =2000/- Rupees. PER PERSON PRICE DIFFERENCE- 4800/-(TAVERA CAR) -3400/-(BUS) =1400/- Rupees. PER PERSON PRICE DIFFERENCE DEPENDS ON CAR VARIENT. PROS & CONS- *Car is more comfortable. *You Do not have to worry about food option, Hotels/Rooms, Luggage and route maps. *You can take a break according to your need and wish if you opt for Car. *You can take your time as Driver will wait for you in your entire trip. *Your trip would be flexible , you do no have a tight schedule like Bus. *As per my experience and calculation above- 1500/--2000/- rupees is not a big amount infront of you and your family and friends comfort. -FAMILY SCENARIO ( Rough Idea) In a family trip ,family head is going to pay for entire trip so My suggestion would be ,you can go for cheaper or normal car options like swift dzire, Tavera, Bolero etc. for example four family members are on a trip so if we calculate- Bus fare- 3400*4=13600/- Car(Tavera) fare-4800*4=19200/- Difference is 5600/- and I guess for your family comfort five or six thousand worth the money and afterall you are not travelling daily; it is for once and twice in our Life.
