This macabre-looking stork has a large dagger-like bill and a sunburned pink head and neck. Its unusual appearance is enhanced by a white ruff and loose inflatable skin around the neck. It soars to great heights in search of food; note its white belly in flight. Marabous are equally at home in wetlands as they are in the dry bush; they are most seen lurking near carrion, as they frequently attend predator kills and will scavenge scraps. They even scavenge around people and garbage dumps. In this video, a marabou stork goes looking for some mongoose pups, but we all know how resilient mongooses are, so if the stork thinks it’s going to be easy, he has another thing coming. The mongooses work together and fend off the storks. Mongoose Vs Cat Mongooses are tough and deadly hunters, but when a banded mongoose went on the hunt all by himself, in the dead of night, he was ambushed by an African wildcat and an epic struggle ensued which saw the cat eventually kill the mongoose. When a cat meets a mongoose, the two animals play a game of cat and mouse. The cat is still the cat, but the mongoose is much bigger and crazier than a mouse and the cat knows this, so he’s cautious. Nothing major unravels as the two pugilists just stare at each other. A couple of cats make a mongoose friend and the mongoose wants to play, but he scares one of the cats in the process.
