Schlossplatz: In German means Castle square. The Berchtesgaden Castle is the representation of Romanesque, Gothic, Baroque and Rococo styles. Parish church of St. Andreas: It dates 1358, built in Romanesque and Baroque style. 3. Market Square: on the Hirschenhaus wall affresco is represented the countess Irmgard from Sulzbach and her son Berengar, associated with the legend of the town founding. 4. Franciscan Monastery: It dates from the 1400’s. The bell tower was build by Lorenzo Sciasca, born in Roveredo, Switzerland, he was a master builder and architect of the Baroque period. 5. Hofbräuhaus Berchtesgaden: This restaurant and brewry exists since 1645. It has some of the best beer in Germany. This place is famous for the Eisbock beer, 11.6% Alcol, almost 19 euro for half a liter.
