What's new for 2025?
The 2025 Toyota Camry has undergone a complete redesign. Unlike the 2024 model, the 2025 Camry comes exclusively with a hybrid powertrain. It also offers more standard and available features across the lineup. Additionally, both the interior and exterior have received subtle yet sleek styling updates.
Pricing
The 2025 Camry starts at $28,400 for the base LE trim. The sporty SE is priced from $30,700 and features more aggressive exterior styling. If you want more luxury, you can upgrade to the XLE trim at $33,400, or go all out with the range-topping XSE, which starts at $34,600.
While the base model offers good value, the SE trim is our top pick. It comes with an impressive array of tech and driver-assistance features. The SE also boasts nicer upholstery and a sport-tuned suspension, making the modest price increase over the base model well worth it.
Engine, Transmission, and Performance
The 2025 Camry Hybrid offers two hybrid powertrain options: one for front-wheel drive and one for all-wheel drive. The front-wheel-drive models are powered by a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine paired with two electric motors, delivering a combined 225 horsepower. The all-wheel-drive models add a third motor to drive the rear axle, boosting the total output to 232 horsepower. The hybrid system is quite responsive in city driving, thanks to the strong torque from the electric motors. The 2025 Camry speeds from 0-60mph in just 7.3 seconds! However, it's worth noting that none of the 2025 Camry variants are as quick as the old V-6 model, which will be missed by some enthusiasts.
Driving Experience
When it comes to the steering, many drivers have reported it being really in the Camry. Drivers seem to prefer the Camry's steering to one of its main rivals, the Honda Accord's. There is a huge difference in the steering weighting between Normal and Sport modes in the Camry.
When it comes to handling, the Camry is surprisingly composed and feels connected to the road.
The driving experience in the 2025 Camry is nothing short of incredible!
Fuel Economy and Real-World MPG
The EPA hasn't released official fuel economy estimates for the 2025 Camry Hybrid yet. However, Toyota estimates that the new model will achieve combined ratings between 44 and 51 mpg.
Interior, Comfort
Inside the 2025 Camry Hybrid, the spacious interior offers ample room for adults in both the front and back seats.
Cargo Space
Cargo space in the 2025 Camry Hybrid is decent for a sedan, offering 15 cubic feet of space.
Infotainment and Connectivity
The 2025 Camry Hybrid offers a range of infotainment options to suit different preferences. Standard on base LE trim and sporty SE trim is an 8.0-inch infotainment display. The SE trim does however offer a larger 12.3-inch display as an option for those who desire it. The XLE and XSE trims come standard with the 12.3-inch display. All screens feature Toyota's latest software interface, known for its intuitive operation and responsiveness.
Safety and Driver-Assistance Features
The 2025 Camry Hybrid comes equipped with a comprehensive suite of standard driver-assistance features.
Additionally, the Camry Hybrid offers a feature that assists the driver in preparing for curves by gently applying the brakes, enhancing handling and safety during cornering maneuvers. These advanced safety technologies underscore Toyota's commitment to providing peace of mind and safety for all occupants of the Camry Hybrid.
Competitors to consider
2025 Toyota Camry Versus the Competition
Toyota Camry vs. Honda Accord Hybrid: The Camry boasts a significantly lower starting price compared to the Accord Hybrid.
Toyota Camry vs. Hyundai Sonata Hybrid: While the Hyundai Sonata Hybrid impresses with its stylish design and advanced technology, it comes with a higher base price similar to the Accord. In terms of power and fuel efficiency, the Camry holds an advantage over the Sonata Hybrid. It also offers a more refined driving experience with its hybrid powertrain. [6XvqN-IiUyU] |
