God’s purpose in giving us authority though is not to destroy or release judgement, but to build people and cities, and to break cycles of injustice, loss, death, and destruction. When we surrender to God’s mission, we are commissioned with authority to do good works and follow in Jesus’ footsteps, revealing a perfect Father and breaking cycles of injustice.
