Originally published in French in 1922, this magical tale tells the story of Prince Siddhartha who renounced a life of luxury and set out on a journey to attain enlightenment. The story draws directly from ancient texts (Buddhacarita, Lalitavistara, and the Jataka Tales), and it offers an inspiring and intimate glimpse into the Buddha's life. This video is a super slow-moving kaleidoscope of images, photographs, and paintings gathered from the public domain. The audio is what’s most important and I highly recommend lying down and letting yourself be transported by it.
