| Video Discription | Hey, guys! As Series 11 just wrapped up on February 20, we are very happy to let you know that Call the Midwife Series 12 is already confirmed! And that is not all the good news. Back in April, BBC announced the renewal of Call the Midwife for TWO more seasons – 12 and 13. This means we are going to enjoy the award-winning period drama series through at least 2024! By the way, this January, Call the Midwife celebrated its 10-year anniversary. After 10 years on air, it still continues to be one of Britain’s most loved and most watched series, averaging nearly 10 million viewers per episode. Series 12 will have 8 episodes, as usual, and a Christmas Special. It is expected to premiere in January 2023 and filming will start this spring. While Nonnatus House scenes are filmed at a closed studio set in Surrey, many exterior scenes are filmed at Chatham Dockyard in Kent and in South East London. In terms of the timeline, we are finally be crossing over to the 70s. All your beloved cast members are set to return for Series 12, including Judy Parfitt, Jenny Agutter, Helen George.
