| Video Discription | Welcome to Catania, Sicily. In this week's video we're exploring the real Sicily. Catania is Sicily's second biggest city. A few videos ago we were in Palermo and throughout the video we'll be comparing the two cities, is Catania better than Palermo? We start things off at a church in Catania called Chiesa di San Nicolo L'Arena. We explore inside the church but then visit the rooftop to get the best views of Catania including the Ionian Sea and Mount Etna (the most active volcano in Europe). Afterwards we head to a place called Canusciuti Sicilian Cafe to try a couple of different types of Arancine. Not far from the cafe we came across an ancient Roman (Greek?) amphitheatre so made our way inside to check it out. We then headed to the main square in Catania where we saw the main cathedral in the city as well as the Elephant Fountain. One of our favourite things about Catania was discovering some more local places. We went to a place called BarnAut to get a beer. It has a very local, bohemian vibe to it. Lastly, since we've mainly been eating Sicilian and Italian food we decided it's time for something else.
