| Video Discription | Kirtipur Stupa is a Buddhist stupa located in the historic town of Kirtipur, which is situated on a hill in the southwestern part of the Kathmandu Valley in Nepal. The stupa is also known as Bagh Bhairab Stupa or Uma Maheshwar Stupa and is considered one of the most important religious sites in the town. The Kirtipur Stupa is believed to have been built during the Licchavi period in the 5th century and was later renovated during the Malla period in the 15th century. It is said that the stupa was built on the site where the demon king Banasur was defeated by Lord Shiva and the goddess Uma. The stupa is a five-tiered structure and stands at a height of around 18 meters. The base of the stupa is circular and has a diameter of approximately 22 meters. The stupa is built in the traditional Nepali style with white painted bricks and has a spire at the top.
