| Video Discription | Chorazin was one of the three cities in the Galilee region that Jesus visited and cursed for their lack of faith (the other two being Capernaum and Bethsaida). The city is believed to have been established around the 4th century BC. It was known for its fertile land and abundance of olive oil production. By the time Jesus visited Chorazin in the 1st century AD, it was a bustling city with a large Jewish population. However, despite being witness to many miracles performed by Jesus in nearby cities, the people of Chorazin remained skeptical and did not fully embrace his teachings. This ultimately led to Jesus cursing the city, saying "Woe to you, Chorazin! Woe to you, Bethsaida!" (Luke 10:13). Despite the curse and the destruction that followed in later years, Chorazin's ruins have been incredibly well-preserved. Walking through its streets, one can still see the remains of its ancient houses, synagogues, and public buildings. One of the most striking features is the large basalt stone used for building throughout the city. This material was not readily available in other nearby cities, making Chorazin a unique architectural gem in the region.
