| Video Discription | Save this video for your future pork belly cravings! Ingredients: [Pork rub] 500G Pork Belly 1 tsp five spice powder 1 tsp salt 1 tsp YumYum 1/2 tsp sugar 1/2 tsp white pepper 1/2 tsp chicken powder [Water] 3 Bay leaves 1 tsp White peppercorn 2 tbsp Chinese cooking wine [Pork skin] 1tsp baking soda 1tbsp vinegar oil Method: For best result, leave pork in fridge uncovered overnight. 1. Make cuts on the bottom side of the pork belly as shown in the video. 2. Mix all the seasonings together and rub into the meat. 3. Gently simmer the pork belly in a pot of water for 10mins. 4. Remove from pot to poke holes with a fork or needle. (More holes = crispier.) 5. Pat dry and brush with vinegar and baking soda. 6. Fry pork belly skin side down with oil on the lowest possible temp with lid on for 20mins. 7. Remove lid and check if all skin is crispy. (If not, add more oil and cook for 5-10 more minutes without lid). 8. Now you have roast pork without wasting time and resting in the fridge overnight like the other recipes.
