| Video Discription | One day in the summer of 1976, in Devon, England, I drove up to a sign that said Daddyhole Plain Car Park. ‘Daddyhole Plain?’ I said in disbelief. ‘Oh, I just have to write something with that in it!’ And I did, a song lyric, which I took to my musician friend Des George. Des was a one-man-band who played at various venues in and around Hampshire. He glanced at the lyric, quickly found a tune for it, and recorded the result. Not being a singer myself, the only vocals I provided back then days were of a rather self-conscious backing kind. These days, no longer self-conscious about my voice - it is what it is - I have made many recordings of my own.
