Like the Char Dham, Tungnath temple is also open only for 6 months, the rest of the time is closed due to heavy snowfall. From Haridwar you have to take bus or cab to Rudraprayag then Ukhimath. From Ukhimath you can get shared car for Chopta Tungnath. On the chopta's main square there is a entry gate for tungnath and chandrashila peak from where you will start trekking. 📌 Tungnath Trek Cost: Tungnath Chandrashila trek can be done in Rs. 3000-4000 per person including accommodation, public transport, meal & entry fee. 📌 Best time for Tungnath Chandrashila Trek: Tungnath temple opens for pilgrims in the month of may and closes in October. If you wanna enjoy snowfall then you can come in November - December - March - April.
