| Video Discription | FOLLOW ME ON INSTAGRAM FOR MORE CONTEXT ON MY GUESTS: https://www.instagram.com/crownunfiltered/ ABOUT BEN: Ben is a Design Expert in Colour and Material Finish and oversees Radford’s unique Customisation program and specialises in bespoke Interior and Exterior Design. This is a particularly special episode as Ben and I studied together and it is also the very first episode that feature a CMF (Colour, Material, Finish) Designer. Ben got his break at a Coachbuilder called Overfinch. He oversaw the total design of each vehicle, and was responsible for creating unique, bespoke versions of the iconic Range Rover SUV. It is safe to say that he has become a specialist in luxury as he then went on to spend six years at Bentley working within the Mulliner Bespoke division. He then moved to Lotus and designed the colour and trim specifications for the Evija hypercar as well as the Emira sportscar. Most recently he worked for Aston Martin, before joining Radford Motors, the start-up co-founded by Jenson Button. Ben lives in Yorkshire and enjoys travelling and running marathons. His first car was a classic Mini, which he is currently restoring. I will be talking to a cross-section of people that work in the Car Design Industry. These will include designers, digital and clay modellers, vis artists, and colour & material designers. The focus of our conversations will be centered around personal processes and experiences within the business. My aim is to demystify some of the preconceptions about this industry and give people an unadulterated glimpse into the business. I also wish to give the younger generation the opportunity to see that the people that these professionals come in different shapes and sizes and some of them will be unknown.
