Some things to keep in mind before buying: it is a little pricey, it does smell a littlle bit but its tolerable, it's a little heavy and you'll notice it but boy it sends the ball flying fast and the spin is insane.. I consider myself a competive casual player, play maybe 6-10 hours a week and this paddle made my game so much better. I upgraded from a stiga supreme and I love this feel and look of surprise on my opponants face with this crazy spin. Will most likely rebuy these rubbers after mine wear out. Had mine so far 4 weeks and if you sponge it down after each use, the tackiness never leaves.. I have played for a long time...this paddle is slow compared to tenergy fx (butterfly) but very good defense. Fantastic hard chopper. Not great for flips because like most chineese rubbers it is very tacky but has a hard sponge. Very well made and much better than i was expecting. If you want a fast paddle this is not it...if you want control and defense...this is very ood. The Black was 555. slower than the Hurricane red which i use as forehand.. - Came earlier than estimated- Concerning the fishy smell, the product i received had a tinge of the smell but not till it became unbearable, before it arrived i was concerned about it as well but it turned out better than expected- The rubbers are tacky providing good spin and speed great for intermediate play- I would say for its hefty price point the packaging was decent and the product is of satisfactory build quality- Will definitely up your game.
