What is a child wellness check up? Routine wellness checkups are very very essential for growing child because it is required to monitor the growth and development. So heath checkups are required to monitor the growth and development. So health checkups are recommended at 2 weeks of age, when it is newborn. When it is 6 months, at 9 months, at 1year, at 15 months, at 1 and a half year, 2 years, 2 and a half years, then 4 to 5 years if you notice these health checkups have been synchronised with vaccination dates so that health checkups happen along with vaccination. So why is health checkup important? To make sure that your child’s milestones are attained appropriately, for example child is supposed to roll over by 4 to 6 month, supposed to sit without support by 8 to 9 moths supposed to be crawling by 9 months, should be able to stand without support by 10 to 12 months, should be able to walk, anywhere maximum by 14 to 15 months. So these are milestones which are very essential in a child’s growth and development and this has to be monitored in a regular interval, along with that there will be regular nutritional assessment, there will be regular mental growth assessment and so on and so forth.
