Which patient are effected by edentulism? - Edentulism mostly occurs in aged people, who don't take care of their oral hygiene. - Unfortunately the edentulous state can also occur in young people suffering from Anodontia or hypodontia. What are the treatment options? - Possible treatment options for a edentate patient will include a conventional complete denture, (A complete denture in which retention is obtained via adhesion cohesion, extensions, intimate contact etc.), or an Implant supported complete denture or an overdenture. - The decision that which complete denture is best for the patient depends on a number of factors, such as patient's age, health, bone condition, the amount the patient is willing to spend and many other.
