Evolved even before the Himalayas, the Anamudi peak stands high, which is the highest reaches in South India (2695m). From the Nilgiri Tahr to the terrestrial Lark, Eravikulam is home to a lot of unique life forms. Rhododendron Arboreum, an endemic species with Himalayan cousins is also found in the rolling hills of Eravikulam.
