| Video Discription | Karise Eden's new single 'Wild Hearts' (12th July 2024) Karise shared the inspiration behind the song: “I always used to rib my husband Wade, saying I'd pen him a cringe-worthy love tune one day, and it took me a good seven years, but here we are!,” she laughed. “In February 2024, I was on the road touring and had decided I would drive myself for the month’s run of shows. Long-distance driving on country highways is one of my favourite things. It had been a few years since I’d really been out on the road and had a lot of time to think, driving back and forth from Queensland to Victoria for shows. "I remember this one day, out on the Newell Highway between Toowoomba, Queensland, and Dubbo, New South Wales, this urge hit me like a tonne of bricks to jump out of the car and belt out a tune on the border of a random farm!" she laughs at the memory. "So, there I was, rolling through Moree (in New South Wales), heading south towards Victoria. I pulled over, grabbed my guitar, sang my heart out by the fence line of a stranger’s paddock, and bam, this song just kinda 'fell out' in about 10 minutes. As I was scribbling, I could practically hear the thunder of wild horses tearing through an open field. In hindsight, I recognise these feelings as my way of letting loose, finding a bit of bravery and love in the midst of it all." Karise hopes listeners will connect with the song’s themes of personal growth, freedom, and love. "It's about letting go of all that baggage holding you back, being a bit wild, letting your hair down, accepting the past, and just living in the moment with a good heart.
