His desire to, in more flowery words than this, conquer the world, was not a concept that Roku agreed with, and when Roku found that Sozin had gone along with the plan anyway, a wedge so deep that it lasted for many years was formed. That was until Roku’s death on his island when a volcano went off. To be honest, Sozin didn’t kill Roku. But he certainly didn’t help when he could have. And when Roku died, the next in the Avatar Cycle was born. A baby boy, born to Air Benders.
