| Video Discription | How to make a sensitive flammable gas detector at minimal cost. To have the LED's in bar meter mode, leave pin#9 connected to pin#3. To use in dot mode like my unit(to conserve power), do not connect pin#9 to pin#3. Since this video was made I discovered I had (3) CR123A high capacity li-Ion batteries and a charger laying around. Both of those batteries in series provides the perfect power supply(around 10V) for this unit due to the 210ma power consumption. The brass strips are bonded to the plastic with E-6000 adhesive.
