Video Discription	Jeff get tuned after installing the PRL Motorsports Front Mount Intercooler at Cobb Tuning Surgeline's Mustang Dyno in Portland, Oregon. Impressions from Chris (tuner): This week I had the pleasure of tuning Jeff Reinke's car after he installed a PRL FMIC kit. The stock TMIC on the 2015+ WRXs really struggles to keep up as you start to push the car. Especially as it gets warmer outside. It is not uncommon to see post intercooler temps of 140+ F at redline, which makes the car really detonation prone. I tuned a 2015 WRX with similar modification to Jeff's car earlier in the week that still had the stock TMIC. Environmental conditions were similar during both tunes (roughly 80 F outside temps). You can see in this first graph that the manifold temps start taking off at 5000 RPM and peak at just under 140 F at 6900 RPM. This typically requires me to tune the car more conservatively up top to ensure that it will still be safe and reliable with that hot of an air charge entering the combustion chamber. The second graph shows Jeff's car with the PRL FMIC kit. Even with the manifold temps starting higher than the first graph (likely due to me sitting too long in between pulls and heat soaking the intake manifold and TMAP sensor) the PRL FMIC was able to maintain manifold temps within 5 - 8 F of the intake air temps at higher RPMs, with a peak manifold temp of 102 F at redline. This keeps the car much happier and I am able to push the harder up top and still maintain safety and reliability.
