Recently a French Resistance member spoke out about the executions of around 40 German soldiers and prisoners of war that occurred close to Le Vert. It's believed that many of these soldiers are still lying deep under the ground following their executions by gunshot at the hands of the French Resistance. There are efforts that are about to begin to try and exhume the lost Germans who were executed. This story had gone to the graves with many members of the French Resistance who were the executioners. But amongst the executed Germans it's believed is a woman who was accused of collaborating with the Gestapo.
