| Video Discription | In this video I will show you how I make Ghanaian style fish pie which is a variation of meat pie but instead of beef these pies have a tasty fish filling. Dough Ingredients: 500 gram Flour 500 gram Margarine 1 Teaspoon Baking powder 1 Teaspoon Baking soda 1/2 Teaspoon Nutmeg powder 1/4 cup Milk 1/4 cup Water 1 Egg Filling Ingredients: 1 Canned tuna (160g) 1 Cubed Onion 1 Tablespoon Curry powder 1 Teaspoon cumin powder 1 Magi cube Instructions Filling: 1. Remove the oil from the tuna and put the tuna in a pan. To the tuna add the onions, curry powder, magi cube and cumin powder. 2. Mix the tuna filling and cook it over a medium to low fire for about 4 - 5 minutes. 3. Set it aside to allow it to cool. Instructions Dough: 1. In a different bowl sift the flour and add nutmeg and baking powder. 2. Add the margarine to the flour and either use your hands or a hand mixer to mix the flour and butter. Mix it until you get a crumb like constancy and set it aside. 3. In a different cup or bowl combine the water, milk, salt and baking soda and give it a whisk. 4. Little by little (start with 1/4 cup) add the liquid to the dough and mix it until you get a piece of dough. If you accidentally, add too much liquid, you can fix it by adding a little bit of flour. 5. Kneed the dough on a well floured surface for about 2 - 3 minutes. 6. Use your hand to flatten the dough, put parchment paper on the dough and use a rolling pin to roll the dough. 7. Use a pie mold or a bowl to cut circles out of the dough. 8. Beat the egg and use a brush to apply it to the edged of the cut out dough. 9. Put a bit of the filling in the middle of the dough and close the pie. 10. Either use your finger tips or a fork to secure the pie. 11. Brush the pie with the egg wash. 12. Bake it in a preheated oven of 200C for about 20 minutes.
