Tech In Ghana was founded by British-Ghanaian Entertainment and PR Journalist Akosua Annobil her resume includes working with Global Media, Hello Magazine, The Guardian, BET, LBC, and New Nation. Following the sudden loss of her mother in 2012 it was a time of reflection in life that caused her to to think more deeply about her heritage, life and the impact and legacy she wanted to leave in the world. After spending a few years visiting Ghana, contributing to community running workshops and seeing the rise in the Ghanaian Start Up and Tech community/industry, she made use of her journalist experience launching AB2020 an online newsletter platform to highlight and promote Tech Investments between the UK & Ghana in 2015. With the growth in all areas of Tech space and the need to build a platform for more meaningful dialogue, networking, and connecting investors or programs with the vibrant Ghana Tech eco system Akosua launched the 1st Edition of Tech in Ghana in London in 2017 followed by the 1st event in Accra in November of the same year.
