I recently ordered the Max Lens Mod online and as of the posting of this video (11/16/20) I have yet to receive it. In my anticipation for the Max Lens Mod I messed around with the Hero 9's settings and discovered that the Horizon Level Lock actually works without having the Max Lens Mod installed. So you can basically rotate the camera a full 360 degrees and the GoPro will keep the horizon level in your video. WHAT?! I had assumed you needed the Max Lens Mod to get this effect, but apparently not. I'm sure this doesn't render the Max Lens Mod useless, it is obviously giving you a wider field of view and it renders much more stable footage. Is it worth it to fork over the cash for the added lens mod or is this hack enough for most people? I am patiently awaiting the arrival of my Max Lens Mod so I can put it to the test!
