| Video Discription | Aquarium green terror tank mates are also easy to keep. This is my cichlids favorite food by far. Freeze dried cubes of brine shrimp. Full of protein. It’s 20 gallons and since that picture was taken I have changed to all live plants instead of a mix of live and fake. Honestly I was worried I had over stocked my tank but the water levels are pristine. there’s 13 girls in here the big piece of cholla is from blooms and branches online super cheap, highly recommend browsing their driftwood/cholla! The driftwood is from my LFS. I have no girls but dear god...My pet store got a whole shipment today of crowntail girls and a few dumbo girls.. I've never liked females cause of how tiny they are and less tail colors.. God.. I wish I had a big enough tank. They were all so cute. xD I just started mine yesterday! Well I guess I started it 2 weeks ago but finally put everyone together yesterday in the 20 Don't mind the decor. Its really ugly and temporary. Just until I can gather better looking plants and things. The divider is a compartment that I can use in case there's an emergency and I need to move someone fast. I also have other tanks just in case too. Green terror cichlids. You might wanna hold out on the tank mates.... See how the ladies get along first.. They have to get some balance with each other and it may not turn out the way you planned. I put my tank mates in first. A frog and tetras. That might not have been recommended. But I found that some of my girls were so interested in the tank mates(not aggressively just interested) that it kept them from paying attention to each other. It was very smooth and they have been living together happily since. Maybe my case was a little more specific. Idk. Question - I got my betta as a “baby betta” from petco, he was labeled as a baby male but I’m starting to wonder if he’s a female. I’ve had him since October now and he’s still sooo tiny. I definitely can’t see an egg spot.. is it possible for him to be a female without an egg spot? Thoughts? He’s my first betta so I’m not sure how long it takes for them to become full grown. Umm.. Weird it take about 6 months to become full grown so maybe.... Flare him and check for a beard, otherwise hold him up to the light and shine a flashlight behind him to see if you see ovaries(triangle) Can i ask what that white spot its up by his pectoral fins?? It’s the coloring on his pectoral fins, they’re kinda silvery near his body - he was moving when I took the pic so it looks like something is on them. That's what i thought but wasn't sure! And tyler is right it actually only takes 3months for males to be sexually mature! Your betta would have a tail by now i got 2 baby boy males about a month ago and they're already getting their tails.... Also my guess would be they got the sex wrong b.c of him being dark and it not being obvious. Her now actually. Lol Hello everyone, unfortunately this little guy passed away. One day he was fine the next day not so much. I’m hoping someone could shed some light on what happened, he was completely normal (in first pic) then over night it just went downhill out of nowhere. He’s housed with 2 other males (divided) and both are completely fine. He passed 2 days after he started pine conning. I have had some of my babies goes from normal to full pinecone within a couple of hours. I think that depending on the fish, they either show symptoms progressively or it all comes down in one blow. The best way I can explain is that it's like dogs with ticks, some go a while before slowly disintegrating, while other show something is wrong straight up, if that makes sense? [1ncnCkV4ctM] |
