This handmade book is designed as a writing journal with many beautiful hand-dyed crinkly pages ready to be written on or decorated with embellishments and ephemera! This is a naked unembellished journal with plenty of pages for writing! These make a lovely gift for any occasion! They are beautiful and useful! Style: These have a vintage, Victorian-style feel to them. They are soft and comfortable in the hand. Each Handmade Writing Journal: - is created from a repurposed vintage book cover - covered in soft cream cotton fabric with a beige paisley print, this also lines the spine - includes crinkly papers dyed with coffee, avocado, beet and cabbage and specialty inks as pages - includes some parchment paper, resume paper, vintage music and dictionary papers as pages - includes a bronze metal bookplate with hand-dyed paper on the front cover - includes 4 bronze metal book corner, protectors - includes inside cover plates with a nature theme - includes a piece of decorative writing paper with paper clip - includes an embossed envelope with paper clip - includes a pocket with journal paper with paper clip - includes a closure made with metal eyelet and sari silk ribbon (dusty pink or purple or fuschia tones) - the spine has been reinforced with Tyvek tape and fabric, Book Details: I used a set of books that were very close but not exactly the same sizes. These dimensions are approximations. 8.5 x 5.5 inches Spine 0.5-1 inch, exposed spine 2 signatures 80 pages total front and back There is no gator-mouth, this journal rests like a regular book. There are no permanently attached embellishments or ephemera. Bonus Stuffed Envelope: An additional envelope has been included. This envelope holds treasures from the past, vintage ephemera, plus a few other goodies, a nice variety to get anyone started on decorating a book if so desired.
