Characterised as an impaired relationship with reality. People suffering from psychosis experience delusions and/or hallucinations. Where a delusion is a false belief or impression that is held even though it’s contradictory to the truth. And hallucinations are seeing, hearing, feeling or smelling things or people that are not present.
