| Video Discription | The Herman Gulch trail in Colorado is one of my favourite trails from this past road trip. This is an out and back trail totaling at 10.5 km or 6.5 miles. It has an elevation gain of approximately 1600 feet/487 meters. Mind you the grade was gradual, and the trail was quite easy, though it is listed as a moderate level trail. It took you through lush forests, popping out into open meadows, which are surrounded by mountains and parts of it run along a creek. The end of this trail takes you to Herman Lake. It was the beginning of October, The trail was covered in a thin layer of snow and it was lightly snowing. But on our way back the sun had already began to melt the ground snow. It was a quiet trail, we only passed by 3 other hikers. It is said that the trail is busiest from July through September and that it can be more challenging during the winter with the snow. Either way, It is an absolutely beautiful trail and I would highly recommend it. It’s a must do.
