| Video Discription | The first selfie ever taken was by 30 year old amateur chemist Robert Cornelius in Philadelphia in the fall of 1839. He made his own camera out of a tin box with an opera glass, and placed with in it a steel plate, which had been made light sensitive with iodine. Robert Cornelius stood in the light filled yard of his parents' lighting and gas-heating shop and took the very first selfie, later writing on the back of it, 'first light picture 1839'. #history #photography #photo #science #trivia [wQEGZsqOYzM] |
