| Video Discription | This Weeks Bible Reading: Genesis 41: 37-52 (NET) I recorded this session earlier this week not knowing that it was exactly what I needed for the days to come. The ways of the Lord are a mystery and I cannot say that I can begin to comprehend how He works things out but I do know that even on my worst days when it feels like there is no way of escape or like I might drown under the weight of my burdens and sorrow- that God is near to me and that He is working things for my good. This portion of scripture has become so precious to me this year- as we read the story of Joseph unfold many of us my empathise. A young and zealous dreamer- faithful worker and friend- trusting and resilient and yet betrayed by those closest to Him time and time again. With a great destiny written in the hidden places of his heart, he learned humility, worked diligently and always chose to love the LORD. He suffered much, was abandoned, forgotten, overlooked, forsaken- and yet He was able to resolutely keep His faith in God’s word. And so comes his song of praise to the Lord- he sets this testimony of God’s goodness forever before him by naming his two sons Manasseh and Ephraim. A bold declaration to the world that though the enemy had planned him harm, God had turned it for good. The Lord had made him forget his troubles and had instead made him fruitful in the land of his suffering. I pray today, that as you worship along with me- that you would find that your testimony of God is the same. Take courage friends, He is working all things for your good.
