| Video Discription | Starting Pine Bonsai from nursery stock I had bought two young Pine trees from the nursery last week. I decided to shape and pot them today. I used anodized aluminium wire to shape and bend the trunks into the classic "S" shape. I was careful not to disturb the root ball of the trees since this is not the best time for repotting. I also did not prune the branches or needles ( except for the ends of two long branches) since these trees depend highly on their leaves/needles to produce food and grow strong. I potted the trees in a terracotta and a ceramic pot respectively using my bonsai soil mix and dressed with some stones and moss for a aesthetic look. Quite happy with the outcome and look forward to growing these trees as part of my bonsai collection —————————————————————————————————————— The urban nemophilist lives in the city but his heart and soul lives in the forest and wherever there is green.
