| Video Discription | HOW TO PREVENT AND STOP FISH JUMPING OUT OF OUR RAISED POND ON BALCONY / AQUARIUM, SUCH AS GOLDFISH, KOI CARP AND SHUBUNKINS THAT JUMP OUT THE WATER Koi carp are known for jumping high out of the water and often right out of koi ponds, together with large goldfish and shubunkins. Fish jump out of ponds for a number of reasons, such as flushing gills, balancing swim bladders, high temperatures and poor water quality, with excess ammonia spikes. Our water quality is perfect, but a couple of fish, mainly koi, seem to jump when we do a water change, even though we use aquarium dechlorinator / stress heal in the water. Therefore, to prevent any goldfish disasters, we decided to build a small and very discreet clear plastic perspex fence barrier around the pond, which is hardly noticeable because it's clear.
