On the early morning of May 24th from around 6:30-7:30 AM, my area got a DIRECT hit from a powerful QLCS squall line severe thunderstorm that had atleast 70 MPH winds. We ended up getting a tornado warning later on so we did ended up going downstairs, but I did come occasionally come up to get shots of the storm at different times. A QLCS tornado was confirmed in the very southern part of my county which I believe was an EF-0 or EF-1, which ended up missing us since we lived more north. Sirens also sounded numerous times too. Some trees were also reported down in my county but not in my town I don’t think. I believe this storm was a possible microburst or maybe even a derecho. I don’t think we ended up getting any damage on our house which was good. This was definitely the most intense storm to directly hit my area so far this season. Recorded May 24, 2024.
