This old iPod Touch had a beautiful piece of chrome metal and a 3.5" glass touchscreen. It also had a lot of new features that made Apple customers very happy at the time. It shipped with iPhone 2.0 OS, which allowed customers to purchase and download apps from iTunes and the Apple App Store. There was an 8GB model for $229, a 16GB model for $299, and a 32GB model for $399. One year later, in September 2009, all iPod Touch 2G models were discontinued in favor of the new iPod touch 3G (3rd Generation) except for the 8GB model, which got a price reduction to $199.
