So taken was he by the program, he returned in 1997 and again in 1999 as an ISS staff member. From there he went on to study chemistry at Sydney Uni — and got fascinated with polymers. Today he uses some of the biggest, coolest science toys around to investigate the chemistry of polymers and surfaces.
