For the grand opening event, Urban Necessities teamed with their friends at Hair Cutz Don’t Lie and Skin Design Tattoo, making sure that for their customers, what happens in Vegas doesn’t have to stay in Vegas. Urban Necessities employees also show off the goods, from Union Jordan 4’s to Nike Supreme Dunks. Urban Necessities might be one of the biggest sneaker stores in America, but it sprang up from humble beginnings. Now widely regarded as king of the sneakerheads, Lopez was homeless and selling water in Las Vegas when he first walked into a local mall and saw fans lining up to purchase the latest sneaker releases. It was his first experience with the sneaker resale community, and a few years later, he dove into the resale world himself — buying, trading, and building relationships.
