With the best APFSDS in the game for damage and an excellent armor profile, the thing is just an outright animal. The Leopard 2A7V among some other top tier tanks are the first to get Spall Liners in War Thunder which adds massively to the survivability of the tank. Spall Liners reduce the amount of shrapnel generated or what feels like all of the shrapnel. The problem is that now it's no longer viable to side shot these vehicles, so you can get punished for a flank. I can't remember having an easier time at top tier.
