This weeks Episode: Shainblum Redux I had set out to try and capture a version of the amazing shot Michael Shainblum had taken while we were together on this same beach back in Sept 2023, so when I managed to get something similar I was happy of course, the next challenge was to edit it, and for this, I took a similar approach or an approach that I believed Michael would have taken while editing his shot. The first obstacle was that I was shooting at 200m and he was shooting at 400mm, so a crop would be needed to bring the image more in Line. I could have shot with my 160-600 but given that I had my 70-200 I decided to use what I had, more of a challenge I know. Next, it was to play with the highlights and shadows which didn't need much work to be fair as I had the exposure time at its limits due to the harsh light.
