It is one of London's best viewing platforms, not to mention one of its most popular tourist attractions. Completed in 2000, this huge Ferris wheel is nearly 122 meters tall, and carries 32 gondolas. Each gondola holds approximately 25 passengers. It takes 30 minutes for the London Eye to complete one revolution. In this time, it provides sweeping views across the city, and surrounding countryside up to 25 miles away. The London Eye is open from 10am and operates well into the evening.
